Objective To investigate the changes of ventricular late potentials (VLP) with vasovagal syncope of vasodepressor response (VVS-V) in children. Methods From2006July to2013January in the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University,184children (Their ages were4to14years old. The average age was10.54±2.15years old) had been diagnosed VVS-V by the tilt table test (HUTT) as study group; male85cases, the average age of (10.85±2.01) years old, female99cases, mean age (10.27±2.24) years old;105healthy children were matched as controls. All subjects underwent VLP examination, and investigate the difference in HR, TQRS, RMS40, LAS40between the study group and the control group; After the treatment of VVS-V children (35.98±14.93) d and (138.07±58.4) d review VLP, Compare the differences before and after treatment. Results (1)The study group compared with control group children, heart rate (HR) decreased significantly(83.96±12.27beats/min vs87.28±13.75beats/min, t=-2.113, P=0.035); the total QRS time (TQRS) prolonged obviously (84.89±12.05ms vs81.21±8.23ms, t=3.070, P=0.002); root mean square plant (RMS40) were significantly prolonged (28.73±7.23μV vs26.89±7.36μV,t=2.059,P=0.041); high frequency and low amplitude limit (LAS40) was significantly prolonged (62.43ms±19.17vs56.79±1.83ms, t=2.442, P=0.015).(2)55children in study group reviewed of VLP after (35.98±14.93) days treatment, there were no significant changes in HR (82.38±10.31beats/min vs81.69±11.48beats/min, t=0.380, P=0.705), TQRS (87.04±14.59ms vs85.33±17.06ms, t=0.098, P=0.277), RMS40(28.16±7.49μV vs27.96±7.63μV, t=0.241, P=0.810) and LAS40(56.34±22.57ms vs61.47±23.32ms, t=-1.830, P=0.073);14children in study group reviewed of VLP after (138.07±58.4) days treatment, there were no significant differences in HR (83.29±7.93beats/min vs85.00±12.40beats/min, t=-0.735,P=0.475), TQRS (91.71±22.56ms vs85.71±7.98ms, t=1.023, P=0.325), RMS40(29.14±5.63μV vs28.21±6.12μV, t=0.695, P=0.499) and LAS40(54.49±20.25ms vs54.63±20.75ms, t=-0.025, P=0.980).Conclusions VVS-V children compared to healthy controls, HR is reduced, TQRS, RMS40, LAS40significantly prolong. There were no significant difference observed in HR, TQRS, RMS40, LAS40before and after treatment in VVS-V children.
