ObjectiveTo investigate the expression of TAU and ROR2protein in colorectal cancer and its clinical significance.MethodsEnVisionTM immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression levels of TAU and ROR2protein in70cases of colorectal cancer,20cases of peritumoral tissues, and20cases of colonic adenoma. Applicated SPSS13.0statistical software for statistical analysis.Results1.The positive expression rates of TAU protein were47.1%(33/70),85.0%(17/20),90.0%(18/20) in colorectal cancer, peritumoral tissues and adenoma. The expression rate of TAU protein in colorectal cancer was significantly lower than those in peritumoral tissues and adenoma (P<0.01). The positive expression rates of ROR2protein were58.6%(41/70),20.0%(4/20),5.0%(1/20) in colorectal cancer tissues, peritumoral tissues and adenoma. The expression rate of ROR2protein in colorectal cancer was significantly higher than those in peritumoral tissues and adenoma (P<0.01). 2. In colorectal cancer, the expression of TAU protein was significantly related to age, degrees of differentiation, lymph node metastasis and depth of infiltration (P<0.05), but it was not significantly related to sex, site and maximal diameter of tumor(P>0.05). The expression of ROR2protein was significantly related to age, sex and degrees of differentiation, lymph node metastasis and depth of infiltration (P<0.05), but it was not significantly related to site, maximal diameter of tumor(P>0.05).3. There was a negative correlation between the expression of TAU and ROR2protein in colorectal cancer(r=-0.368,P=0.002).Conclusion1. The low expression of TAU protein and the high expression of ROR2protein, which were significantly related to degrees of differentiation, lymph node metastasis and depth of infiltration in colorectal cancer, suggest TAU and ROR2protein were closely related to the development, invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer.2. There was a negative correlation between the expression of TAU and ROR2protein in colorectal cancer(r=-0.368,P=0.002).
