Objective: To investigate the effect of the femoral tunnel angle on the kneebehavioral scores、 the Levels of tumor necrosis factor-α in synovial fluid、maximum load of the ligament and the rate of bone tunnel enlargement afteranterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in rabbits, and to further explore theeffect of the femoral tunnel angle on the femoral tunnel after anterior cruciateligament reconstruction in rabbits. Methods:54healthy rabbits were randomlydivided into three groups, All rabbits in the groups were established anteriorcruciate ligament reconstruction modes of right knee using its Achilles tendons, and Left knee as the normal control group. We set the angle in the coronalbetween the femoral tunnel and the femoral shaft axis are30°、45°and60°ingroups. The knee behavioral scores、the Levels of tumor necrosis factor-α insynovial fluid、peak load of the ligament and the rate of bone tunnel enlargementwere detected at the different times after operation in each group. The dates wereanalyzed by SPSS16.0software. Results: The knee behavioral scores betweenthe experimental group at1w、4w、8w and12w after operation, differencesshowed no statistical significance (P>0.05);The levels of TNF-α in the all experimental groups had obvious difference at1w、2w and4w after operation, compared with the control group, differences showed statistical significance(P<0.05), But the levels of TNF-α between the experimental group at1w、2wand4w after operation, differences showed no statistical significance (P>0.05);Peak load of the ligament in all experimental group had obviousdifference at4w、8w and12w after operation, compared with the controlgroup, differences showed statistical significance (P<0.05);But Peak load of theligament between the experimental group at4w、8w and12w afteroperation, differences showed no statistical significance (P>0.05);The rate ofbone tunnel enlargement at4w、8w and12w after operation in the allexperimental group had no statistical significance (P>0.05).Conclusion: Theangle in the coronal between the femoral tunnel and the femoral shaft axis hadno significant effect on the knee behavioral scores、the Levels of tumor necrosisfactor-α in synovial fluid、peak load of the ligament and the rate of bone tunnelenlargement after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in rabbits. So thefemoral tunnel angle had no significant effect on the femoral tunnel enlargementafter anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in rabbits.
