Synthesis Of Oxindole Derivatives

3,3-disubstituted oxindoles and CF3-containing oxindoles are very importantstructural units in pharmaceutical and functional materials. In this thesis, the synthesisof3,3-disubstituted oxindoles and CF3-containing oxindoles were investigated.The synthesis of27oxindole derivatives in moderate to good yields have beeninvestigated by using N-arylacrylamides and Aryl diazonium salts as substrates,Ru(bpy)3Cl2·6H2O as catalyst, and MeOH as solvent. All the compounds synthesisedwere charcterized by1H NMR, ESI-MS and single-crystal X-ray analysis.An efficient PhI(OAc)2-mediated trifluomethylation reaction of N-arylacrylamide and TMSCF3under metal-free conditions was studies.19CF3-containingoxindols were made in moderate to good yields by using this method. All thecompounds obtained were charcterized by1HNMR, ESI-MS and single-crystal X-rayanalysis.
