Objective:To study the expression of STAT3and SOCS3in the middle ear cholesteatoma epithelium tissue and the correlation of STAT3and SOCS3.Explore the role of the STAT3and STAT3in the middle ear cholesteatoma.Materials and methods:Using immunohistochemical (SP) method to detect the expression of STAT3and SOCS3protein in30cases of middle ear cholesteatoma epithelial tissue20cases of normal external auditory canal skin tissues as control group. Using SPSS13.0software for statistical analysis. The positive rates of STAT3, and SOCS3in the middle ear cholesteatoma group and the normal control group compare by the χ2test,(p<0.05).The correlations of STAT3and SOCS3of the middle ear cholesteatoma group use the the Pearson correlation decision(P<0.05).Result:In the30cases of the middle ear cholesteatoma epithelial tissue, the positive expression rate of STAT3protein is76.7%,and the positive expression rate of SOCS3protein is26.7%;In the20cases of normal control group, the positive expression rate of STAT3protein is30%,and the positive expression rate of SOCS3protein is75%.The differences between the middle ear cholesteatoma group and the normal control group were statistically significant (p<0.001). The expression of STAT3and SOCS3in the middle ear cholesteatoma has negative correlation (r=-0.380, p<0.05). Conclusion:The STAT3is high expressive and the SOCS3is low expressive in the middle ear cholesteatoma epithelial tissues. The expression of STAT3and SOCS3in the middle ear cholesteatoma has negotive correlation. The STAT3and STAT3may play an important role in the middle ear cholesteatoma.
