Objective:To analysis the imaging features of Degenerative lumbar scoliosis and itsclinical presentation, investigate the correlation between the two of them, and providea theoretical basis for further prevention and treatment of Degenerative lumbarscoliosis.Method:1.41cases were Selected from hospital medical records, including14males and27females, aged between48to73years, with an average age of60.44±6.67.2. All DLS patients got detailed physical examination and imagingexamination, meanwhile, VAS and ODI score, the quantitative analysis of patients’ pain and quality of life were used to observed. In addition, patients’ radiographic parameters, including lumbar scoliosis Cobb angle, segmental lordosis angle and wedge angle were measured for comparision.3. T-test was used to analyze the data before and after surgery, multiple linear regression was used to analyze the correlation between VAS,ODI scores and radiographic parameters for DLS cases.Results:1. In41cases of DLS patients,35(85.4%) patients accompanied withcardiovascular disease and other underlying disease, medical history rang from1to20years,39(95.1%) patients suffered low back pain,33(80.5%) patients got lower limbpain;29(70.7%) patients showed intermittent claudication symptoms,21(51.2%)patients presented lower extremity muscle strength and/or feeling subside.2.DLS patients lumbar scoliosis Cobb angle range is11.22°~27.25°, with anaverage angle range of16.99°±3.84°; lordosis angle range is-5.15°~34.13°, withan average of16.02°±6.37°; segmental wedge angle range is4.11°~14.22°, withan average of7.81°±2.20°;19patients with right scoliosis and22patients with left scoliosis, which showed roughly equal (19:22).3.The range of ODI score before treatment is54~82, with an average range of65.62±6.8;the range of VAS score for low back pain is3.95~9.15, with an averagerange of6.89±1.15;the range of VAS score for leg pain is3.35~8.75, with anaverage range of6.41±1.35;The VAS score of low back pain is correlated withadjacent vertebral segments variable angle wedge and lumbar lordosis(P<0.05); ODIscore is significantly correlated with lumbar lordosis and Variable angle wedgesegments(P<0.05).4.Disc degeneration, the loss of lumbar lordosis, sagittal imbalance and instabilitycaused by segmental wedge angle are the key parameters which can affect clinicalpresentation. After the operation to treat lumbar lordosis, segmental wedge angle andscoliosis Cobb angle, lumbar lordosis correction rate and back pain improvement rate,ODI score improvement rate has a significant correlation.Conclusion:1.Lumbar segment wedge variable angle, lumbar lordosis have corre-lation with back pain VAS, ODI score, the parameters has a very important significan-ce for low back pain VAS and ODI score.2. Surgery to correct lumbar lordosis and segmental wedge angle has positiveclinical significance.
