The Retrospective Study About The Meniscal Degeneration Features In Different TCM Types

ObjectiveThrough the retrospective study of cases, to observe the clinical syndrome of meniscal degeneration characteristics and the factors associated with d-isease, to dicuss TCM type of meniscal degeneration, provide more basis for treating meniscal degeneration.MethodsFrom January in2012to December in2013,265inpatient and outpatient were collected in guangdong province hospita of TCM, wihch were confirmed in a-ccordance with the standard of meniscal degeneration;to analyze the assoc-iation between the syndromes of TCM with age, gender, body mass index, duration and MRI.Results1.The common syndromes of TCM in patients with degenerativing of menicius are yang deficiency and cold, blood stasis, the deficiency of liver and kidney, spleen-deficiency and phlegm-turbid stagnation, the shortage of liver and kidney are the most common type, accounting for about35.1%.2. The change of four types of syndromes are difference in age distribution (P<0.05), but no difference in terms of weight distribution (P>0.05).3. F our types of syn-dromes has differences in in different age period(P<0.05), yang deficiency and cold has high incedence in thoses that are45years old orless;phlegmy wet and the deficiency of liver and kidneygrow with olding of age, In par-ticular, the deficiency of liver and kidney are obvious. Each type has diff-erences in the kinds of illness time(P<0.05), the Yang deficiency and cold is lower with growing of illness time, butthe deficiency of liver and kidney is opposite;phlegmy wet is common in the middle illness time, blood stasis has mo change.4. Four types of TCM syndromes are different in terms of degree of menisus degeneration and MRI manifestations (P<0.05). The type of yang defi- ciency and cold displays mainly for I and II degree signalof MRI manifest-tations,but the deficiency of liver and kidney performances mainly for III level signal.Conclusion1.The four kinds of TCM syndromes, the deficiency of liver and kidney is relatively frequent, Yang deficiency and cold is relatively rare.2.In terms of age, patients with yonger average age are due to yang deficiency and cold syndrome, that with older average age belong to the deficiency of liver and kidney syndrome.3.In terms of age time and illness time, patients with45years old or yongger mainly manifestate yang deficiency and cold syndrome; patients are equal or than56yaer old mainly manifestate the deficiency of liver and kidney,at the same time, the illness time of yang deficiency and cold syndrome are most shotest,others are longer.4.In terms of degree of meniscal degeneration and MRI classification, The type of yang deficiency and cold displays mainly for I and II degree signalof MRI manifestations, but the deficiency of liver and kidney performances mainly for III level signal.
