The Efficacy And Safety Analysis Of Bortezomib Treatment In Patients With Multiple Myeloma

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of bortezomib combined with other drugs inthe treatment of patients with multiple myeloma (MM).Methods35MM patients including19de novo patients, out of them11patients received thetreatment using regimen of bortezomib in combination with thalidomide (BT),8patientsreceived bortezomib-methylprednisolone (BMP).Out of16patients with refractory or relapsedmyeloma5cases of MM received the treatment using regimen of bortezomib combined withmethylprednisolone (BMP),4cases received the treatment using regimen of bortezomibcombined with cyclophosphamide, predisone and thalidomide (BCPT),4cases received thetreatment using regimen of bortezomib combined with doxorubicin,dexamethasone (BAD),3cases received the treatment using regimen of bortezomib combined with dexamethasone(BD).Each patients received treatment of2-8courses at least.Results Out of19newly diagnosed patients,6cases achieved CR,6cases achieved nearlyCR,5cases achieved PR,2cases achieved MR,resulting in an ORR of94.7%. Out of16refractory or relapsed patients,2cases achieved CR,5cases got nearly CR,7cases were PRand2were MR,resulting in an ORR of82.92%.Conclusion bortezomib combined with other drugs is a very effective regimen,its side effectsare predictable and manageable.
