]ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect of Intestines Three Needle therapy in the Treatment of the Qi-stagnation type of functional constipation.Method60cases of Qi stagnation type of functional constipation patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The treatment group of30patients were treated with acupuncture while the control group of30patients were treated with medicine. After3weeks of treatment, we collect the data including before the treatment, after treatment and two weeks after the end of treatment, using the Bristol stool type, assessment of constipation symptoms and effects and constipation efficacy standards. All data were assessed and statistically analyzed.ResultsAcupuncture group and medicine group was no significant difference in treatment efficiency, stool normal rate, average of total symptom score (P>0.05). However, compare with medicine group, acupuncture group was significantly different in relieve the symptoms of bowel discomfort and abdominal distension (P<0.05). And also, the score of acupuncture group in constipation symptom average score is significantly different from medicine group (P<0.05).ConclusionThe Intestines Three Needle therapy has significant clinical effect in the treatment of Qi-stagnation type of functional constipation. As proven in the study, the therapy is better than medicine in relieve the symptoms of bowel discomfort and abdominal distension, and also lengthening the curative effect.
