ObjectiveTo study the expression of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+regulatory T cells in peripheral blood of in patients with newly-diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM) for investigating the immunosuppression mechanism in MM, so as to provide the basis for the adjustment of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+regulatory T cells levels with Chinese and Western medicine. And through the study of the regulation between peripheral blood β2-MG and hemoglobin and calcium ion concentration with TCM syndrome in patients of newly-diagnosed MM, to provide reference for micro dialectical treatment of MM with TCM.MethodsThe newly-diagnosed MM Group consisted of10peripheral blood specimens of MM patients visited in the Hematology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM from February,2012to March,2014, while specimens of5normal persons for the Control groups. The expression of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+regulatory T cells was examined by flow cytometry. SPSS19.0and Statistic Analysis Methods(t-tests) were used to analyze the two groups of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+regulatory T cells. And β2-MG and hemoglobin and calcium ion concentration in peripheral blood with the TCM syndrome by given standards were collected form30cases of newly-diagnosed MM patients, Statistic Analysis Methods (Bonferroni) were used to analyze if there was a statistical significant difference (P<0.05)Results 1.The newly-diagnosed MM Group of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+regulatory T cells ratio (5.83±1.36)%, health group (2.54±0.49)%, were contrasted by t-tests, statistical analysis result showed P<0.05, displaying a statistical significant difference.2. There was a law between β2-MG and hemoglobin with TCM syndrome types: low level corresponding to the phlegm and blood stasis resistance, high level corresponding to the liver and kidney yin deficiency and qi and xue double deficiency, calcium ion concentration had no obvious distribution of TCM syndrome types.Conclusion1.The population of CD4+CD25+Tregs in peripheral blood of MM was significantly higher than that of healthy donors, which suggested those might be one of the important reasons of immunosuppression in MM. and the conclusion of was that we can regulate through the method of Chinese and western medicine the expression peripheral blood CD4+CD25+Foxp3+regulatory T cells to treat multiple myeloma.2.The leves of β2-MG and hemoglobin but calcium ion could be used to prompt TCM syndrome from the laboratory indicators, which should be selected to realize it.
