Clinical Study Of Curing Cerebral Ischemic Stroke(CIS)by Compound Leach Powder

Purpose:Discuss about and understand curing mechanism of com pound leech powder on CIS by monitoring its curing effects on patients with Apoplexy and Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome of CIS which include effec ts in traditional Chinese medicine, clinical effects, blood rheology, blood lipid, blood glucose and bloo d pressure.Methods:40patients diagnosed with CIS were picked. Symptoms of patients were confirmed to be apolexy involving the channels and collaterals, apolxy and Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome.20patients were randomly assigned into a study grou p and a blank group respectively. Regular therapeutic method was applied to patients in the blank group. Patients in the study group took compound leech po wer three times per day with2.5grams of powder e ach time on top of the regular therapeutic method. One curing and study period is14days. Apolexy, ne rvous system symptoms and signs, blood rheology, bloo d lipid, blood glucose and blood pressure of the pa tients from both groups are monitored and compared.Results:After these14days of curing with the medicine, bette r traditional Chinese medicine curing effects, clinica1curing effects and blood pressure evaluation were o bserved on patients in the study group than that o f the patients in the blank group (p<0.05). Both NIS S evaluation and daily living activity energy index c omparison were better for the study group than the b lank group(p<0.05). Dramatic better results were obta ined by the study group than the blank group were i ndicated by comparing blood rheology, blood lipid and blood glucose function index between those two groups. No obv ious side effects were observed for the study group.Conclusion:This study showed that compound leech powder has curing effects on patients with Apoplexy and Qi def iciency and blood stasis syndrome of CIS. Superior c1inical curing effects were observed with the study gr oup over the blank group without any severe side eff ects. The medicine can also improve traditional Chines e medicine syndrome score, NIHSS score and restore da ily living activity energy index. Much better function ing index of blood rheology, blood lipid, blood glucose and blood pressure were also observed with the study group than the blank group.
