Objective To explore association between serum resistin,high-sensitivity cardiac troponinT(hs-cTnT) and cardiovascular parameters in maintenance emodialysis(MHD) patients. Methods Serum Resistin,hs-cTnT and C-reactive protein (CRP) were determined by ELISA in60MHD patients,in30chronic renal failure without dialysis patients (includ CKD stage3-5patients) and in30healthy individuals. Echocardiography cardiovascular parameters measured parallel correlation analysis and the relationship between the parameterswas investigated. Results Serum resistin、hs-cTnT and CRP increased significantly in chronic renal failure without dialysis patients and in MHD patients compared to healthy controls (P<0.01).The levels of the left atrial (LAD) and ventricular end-diastolic dimension (LVEDD), and left ventricular mass index(LVMI) were higher in chronic renal failure without dialysis patients and in MHD patients than those in control group(P<0.01). The levels of left ventricular ejective fraction(LFEF) and left ventricular fractional shotening (LFFS) were lower than those in control group(P<0.01). LFEF and LFFS were lower than those in control group(P<0.01). The resistin level of chronic renal failure without dialysis patients and MHD patients showed a positively correlation with CRP (all P<0.05). The resistin and hs-cTnT level of chronic renal failure without dialysis patients and MHD patients showed a positively correlation with LVEDD、LVM and negative correlation with LVEF、LVFS(all P<0.05).Conclusion The serum resistin of MHD patients were significantly elevated in patients with abnormalities associated with inflammatory markers and cardiac structure and function. Serum resistin may promote micro-inflammatory state in MHD patients involved in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular complications. Serum resistin MHD patients as predictors of micro-inflammatory state and targets and possible prevention of cardiovascular complications.
