Objective:To present our experience of reducing blood loss in laparoscopic radical cystectomy(LRC), and improving the existing operation methods, form a standardized operation process, to shorten the operation time, reduce intraoperative bleeding, and improve the safety of LRC.Methods:From June2012to January2014. we have treated a total of62cases of bladder cancer with LRC. All the patients are male. We performed all the patients with the operation process:dissociating the ureters, ligaturing the umbilical arterys, dissociating the back of bladder and prostate, dissecting pelvic lymph nodes, dissociating the two walls of bladder and prostate, cutting off the vascular pedicle, dissociating and suturing the dorsal vein complex, and severing the urethra. The operation time, the blood loss, the lymph node counts and the complication were observed.Results:62cases were performed successfully. The operating time was140to210min, mean170±19.5min. The estimated blood lose was30to600m1,mean160±68.6ml. All patients are without blood transfusion. The average lymph nodes counts is15.98±2.8, ranging from4to21.And resection margins were tumor free. No intraoperative complications were observed. Conclusions:The modified LRC had advantages of less blood loss, shorter operative time, higher efficiency, and less postoperative complications.
