Objective:To study the expression and significance of Axin1, ILK and Bmi1proteinin breast cancer and its correlation with clinical pathological features in breast cancer.Methods:In167cases of breast cancer, the expression of Axin1, ILK and Bmi1protein were determined by the immunohistochemical staining respectively. Therelationship between these three proteins and clinical pathological features in breast cancerwere analyzed via χ2test and Spearman’s rank correlation analysis. The survival analysiswas performed by Kaplan-Meier’s method.Results:(1) In167cases of breast cancer, the positive rates of Axin1,ILK and Bmi1protein were43.7%,51.5%and60.5%,respectively (p<0.05);(2) The expression of Axin1was significantly lower in bigger tumor and different in each stage. The positive rates inPR+and P53+was higher than PR-and P53-. The expression of ILK was more higher inlymph node metastasis and distant metastasis and different in PR and HER-2states. Bmi1protein was more expressed in poorly differentiated tumor than median or highdifferentiaion and late stage as well. Meanwhile, the expression of Bmi1was higher inlocal relapse;(3) Spearman’s rank correlation analysis showed than ILK was correlatedwith Axin1and Bmi1,but Axin1and Bmi1were not correlated;(4) The low stains ofAxin1and high stains of ILK and Bmi1correlated with unfavorable prognosis.Conclusions:(1) The expression of Axin1, ILK and Bmi1could be the predictors ofthe malignant degree of breast cancer;(2) The low expression of Axin1and overexpreesion of ILK and Bmi1correlated with breast cancer stages and different molecularmakers;(3) The exprssion of ILK was correlated with Axin1and Bmi1,but Axin1andBmi1were not correlated;(4) The low stains of Axin1and high stains of ILK and Bmi1correlated with unfavorable prognosis.
