Objective:To investigate the clinical significance of MHC-1chain-related gene A (MICA) expression in human pituitary adenoma.Methods:40cases of pituitary adenoma tissue specimens were collected in Binzhou Medical University Hospital from May,2011to Feb,3013. In the same time20cases of normal brain tissue specimens were collected as a control group, after hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage decompression resection. The immunohistochemical method and Real time RT-PCR method were used to detect the expression of MICA in pituitary tumor tissue and normal brain tissue,at protein and gene level. Results:The expression of MICA protein in pituitary was positive and located in the nucleu and cytoplasm of pituitary adenoma cells. Compared to normal brain tissue, the mRNA of MICA expression in pituitary adenomas was higher. Conclusion:The high expression of MICA in pituitary adenoma may play an important role in pituitary adenoma occurrence and development.
