ObjectiveAnalyzing the clinical date of pancreatitis incorporated with portal vein thrombosis in17cases, whom were admitted by The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from2006.1to2012.12. Analyzing the causes, clinical manifestation, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. So that people can pay more attention to the complications of pancreatitis, and give suitable treatments, reducing other complications, and at last improving the prognosis and the quality of life.MethodsAnalyzing the causes, clinical manifestation, laboratory test, imaging test, treatment, and following-up situation in17cases, whom were diagnosed pancreatitis incorporated with portal vein thrombosis and admitted by The Fist Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from2006.1to2012.12.Results1. There were632cases of acute pancreatitis and121cases of chronic pancreatitis were admitted by our hospital from2006.1to2012.12. Among them,17 cases were diagnosed pancreatitis incorporated with portal vein thrombosis, severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) in7cases, chronic pancreatitis(CP) in10cases.2. Splenic vein thrombosis in13cases, portal vein thrombosis in7cases, superior mesenteric vein thrombosis in4cases(2of them were diagnosed portal vein cavernous transformation), both splenic and portal vein thrombosis in5cases. Splenomegaly in12cases, but none had gastrointestinal bleeding.3. All17cases had abdominal pain and most of them had other abdominal symptoms. The SAP in7cases were given conservative treatment and2of them accepted endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP), the4cases of CP were given surgical treatment, the reminders were given conservative treatment. Only2of the17cases were given anticoagulants, one CP died and the others got good outcome.4. All patients were given following-up for3months to2years, one of them had recurrence of thrombosis, the reminders had stable conditions, none had gastrointestinal bleeding.ConclusionPancreatitis incorporated with PVT in clinical were rare(17/753,2%), clinical manifestation is not typical, splenic vein thrombus is more, and the rate of screening of gastroscopy is low.
