Objective:The thesis focuses on the clinical effect of acupuncture on abnormal gastric motility in liver cirrhosis, and its possible mechanism to provide a theoretical base for the promotion and application of the therapy.Methods:60patients with abnormal gastric motility in liver cirrhosis were randomly divided into two groups:the Mosapride group and acupuncture group and30cases in each group. Patients in the Mosapride group went through the conventional treatment and took oral Mosspride30minutes before each meal, each5mg,3times a day while those in the acupuncture group chose zusanli, taichong and sanyinjiao in the JinSanZhen therapy as the main points and others based on syndrome. They went through the conventional treatment and also the traditional reinforcing-reducing method. After two weeks, we collected and analyzed the data on the change of digestive tract symptoms integral, and Child-Pugh score of liver function as well as the plasma motilin before and after the treatment and came to the following results. Results:The total effective rate of the gastrointestinal symptoms for the acupuncture group was83.3%(25/30), while Mosapride group70.0%(21/30). Gastrointestinal symptom scores before and after treatment in both groups had improved with a significant difference (P<0.05). The liver function Child-Pugh score of patients in the acupuncture group went down significantly after the treatment with a greater difference of P<0.05comparing with the Mosapride group. As for the Mosapride group, the index did not show a clear change (P>0.05). The plasma motilin concentration of patients after acupuncture went up with a distinctive change of P<0.05. For the other group, though gastric motility abnormalities had improved, the motilin levels remained unchanged before and after treatment. Conclusions:Based on the above research, the author found out that on the basis of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation, the adoption of choosing acupuncture points on the basis of syndrome and zusanli, taichong and sanyinjiao in the JinSanZhen therapy as the main points with the traditional reinforcing-reducing method could effectively relieve gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with cirrhosis, and improve their liver function, which is worth clinical promotion. Part of the mechanism of acupuncture treatment may work by adjusting the concentration of motilin.
