Research On Technology And Quality Standard Of Ruquan Granules

Ruquan granules, a common gynecological Proprietary Chinese medicine, is composed of Semen Vaccariae Segetalis, Squama Manis (stir-frying with vinegar), Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Stemmacanthae Uniflori, Radix Trichosanth and Radix Glycyrrhizae (stir-frying with honey). Ruquan granules can be used to treat postpartum QI stagnation due to depression of the liver, with the functions of promoting menstruation, blood circulation and lactation.This research used single factor investigation and orthogonal design method, considered extract quantity, the content of ferulic acid and Semen Vaccariae Segetalis flavone glycosides as indicators. Combining with the actual situation of production, ultimately, we determined and validated the best extraction process. In the granulating process, we chose stevia to replace sucrose accessories to expand the applicable patients, and provided normative, feasible and stable production process parameters.The current quality criteria is the ministry authorized of the1993edition standard by Ministry of Public Health, which only has the physical and chemical identification of the quality control, Some papers reported the ferulic assaying of Ruquan granules, but it has not been included of the code. In order to control the drug quality better and set a consummate quality criteria, we set up the assaying methods of Ferulic and Cowherb Seed flavonoid glycoside by HPLC,made a methodology and content limitation research as well. Semen Vaccariae, Radix Glycyrrhizae, Radix Trichosanthis and Radix Rhapontici in prescription were identified by TLC.The results show that the method is simple, accurate and reliable, and can control the quality of Ruquan granules effectively:The result of this paper provides persuasive scientific basis of production process stability and quality control for Ruquan granules.
