Purpose:This paper is to investigate and analyze distribution characteristics of production noises from offshore petroleum platform, characteristics of noises exposed by operators as well as noise protection measures of the platform and to study noise impact on operators’ hearing and common diseases of offshore petroleum platform under the special production environment of offshore petroleum platform and special work system of offshore petroleum platform operators. This paper is aimed to bring about effective intervention measures, to control occupational exposure noise level of platform production operators and to ensure workers’ health. Methods:This paper selects fix similar-scale offshore petroleum platforms in China for on-site investigation of occupational health and on-site test of occupational disease risk factors as well as understanding of platform noise hazard; This paper investigates occupational health examination data of a total of615operators from the six oilfields and compares impacts on their hearing and common diseases according to age and work type. Results:As to fixed-point measurement results in noise device areas,91.4%of total measuring points get over80dB(A) noise measured value;75.8%gets over90dB(A) noise measured value; and22.6%over100dB(A) noise measured value. As to non-fixed-point measurement results in noise device areas,56.6%of total measuring points get over80dB(A) noise measured value.Indoor operators’noise exposure time is about0.5-lhr/d, individual noise measured value meets the requirements of national health standard; Outdoor operators’noise exposure time is about6-8hr/d, individual noise measured value exceeds46.5~55.3%than the standard. Two groups of operators get different exposure levels (p<0.05), outdoor operators gets significant higher exposure level than indoor operators. Operators in different working age groups (<10years%、10~20years and>20years) gets different systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, BMI, blood glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-frequency hearing threshold of double ears, high-frequency hearing threshold of double ears and different morbidity rate of occupational noise deaf, high-frequency hearing threshold shift, low-frequency hearing threshold shift, obesity, high blood pressure, fatty liver and hypertension (p<0.05), in fact, the longer working age operators gets high morbidity rate than the shorter operators.Indoor and outdoor groups of operators get different age, diastolic pressure, BMI, AST, total cholesterol and triglyceride and different morbidity rate of fatty liver and hypertension (p<0.05), indoor operators get significant higher morbidity rate than outdoor operators.Working age is the risk factors of low-frequency hearing threshold shift, high-frequency hearing threshold shift, occupational noise deaf, high blood pressure, hypertension and diabetes. This study finds no information about the relation between noise and the above indexes and diseases. Conclusion:Noise hazard characteristics of offshore petroleum platform are:noise source distribution is concentrated, noise devices have great impact on non-noise device areas; operators are exposed for a long time on the site and a long continuous exposure time; indoor and outdoor operators are exposed under different noise intensity, outdoor operators for different work types get the similar noise intensity; noise protection instruments take little effect, and noise protection mainly depends on individual protection equipments.Indoor operators get higher diastolic pressure, BMI, AST, total cholesterol and triglyceride as well as higher morbidity rate of fatty liver and hypertension than outdoor operators.Working age is related to the different of systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, BMI, blood glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-frequency hearing threshold of double ears, high-frequency hearing threshold of double ears and different morbidity rate of occupational noise deaf, high-frequency hearing threshold shift, low-frequency hearing threshold shift, obesity, high blood pressure, fatty liver, hypertension and diabetes of the workers on offshore petroleum platform. The platform shall provide effective and essential individual noise protection equipments and supervise whether the operators wear correctly so as to reduce the noise hazards.
