Observation On Insomnia Treated With Acupoint Catgut Embedding Therapy

ObjectiveAs the modern pace of life is increasing and life pressure is increasing, the the number of insomnia is increasing. Sleep is necessary for life and health, it is a important element for recovery, integrating, consolidating memory. According to the survey of WHO, twenty-seven percent of people in the world has trouble in sleep. Long-term insomnia serious affect people’ life and work, and attracts more and more attention. Acupuncture and moxibustion is one of the therapies, however, traditional acupuncture therapy has limitations, because it needs patients to come frequently. Therefore, to explore a kind of therapy which has fairly curative effect, and even better effect, as well has the advantages such as without side effects, time saving, easily accepted is of great clinical value. so far, the reports of treating insomnia with acupuncture and moxibustion and catgut embedding are more, and the comparison between catgut embedding and eating traditional Chinese medicine is less. this subject provide clinical evidence for treating insomnia by comparing clinical symptoms before and after therapy of catgut embedding and therapy of eating traditional Chinese medicine, Assessing the curative effect of catgut embedding and eating traditional Chinese medicine.Methods60Patients with simple obesity were assigned to the treatment group (30) and control group (30) according to the Simple random scheme.A.Treatment group(Acupoint catgut embedding group):prescription:two groups of points, select alternately. the main points: Ganshu, Xinshu, Pishu, Feishu, Shenshu.The supplementary points: Hyperactivity of fire due to liver-qi depression:Taichong, Phlegm-heat disturbing:Fenglong, Zusanli, Deficiency of the heart and spleen:Shenmen, Taibai, Deficiency.of the heart-yin:Neiguan, Heart-kidney imbalance: Fuliu. One time Embedding a week, six time treatment totally, respectively, before treatment, the second week, the fourth week, the sixth week, and one month after treatment, to compare efficacy of the two treatment method.the observation period shall not use other treatment method.B.Control group(Traditional Chinese medicine group):According to types of syndrome, patients eating different medicine.Hyperactivity of fire due to liver-qi depression:Longdan xiegan tang, Phlegm-heat disturbing:Huanglian wendan tang, Deficiency of the heart and spleen:Guipi tang, Deficiency of the heart-yin:Tianwang buxin dan, Heart-kidney imbalance:Huanglian ejiao tang. Same observation method as for the Treatment Group. Results Result:After six weeks of treatment:In treatment group,13cases were healed,8cases were significant effective,5cases were effective,4cases were invalid. The effective rate is86.6%; In control group,10cases were healed,7cases were significant effective,6cases were effective,7cases were invalid. The effective rate is76.7%. By statistical analysis, the difference is of statistical significance (P<0.05). Acupoint catgut embedding therapy is superior to therapy of eating traditional Chinese medicine. After one month of treatment, The effective rate of treatment group is83.3%, The effective rate of control group is70.0%, compared with the end of treatment, the effective rate of the two groups were decreased, but still maintain considerable efficiency, comparison between two groups, the treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.05).ConclusionMechanism of Acupoint catgut embedding therapy is same to acupuncture and moxibustion therapy, catgut is embedded in the specific acupoint, it plays a more long exciting time. people moving plays a hand-manipulating role. we prescribe on the basis of serious or not, deficiency and excess, chills and fever. and then strengthening the body resistance to eliminate pathogenic factors, dredge meridian and collateral, promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, regulating viscera. Acupoint catgut embedding therapy is one of the external therapies of traditional Chinese medicine, it has advantages such as, less secondary action, small wound, a more long exciting time, research show that it continues for fifteen days, and even long, we call it long time effect of needling sensation, it is worth to popularize in clinic.
