| Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of thrombolysis with intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator(rt-PA) for patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods:From June2011to June2013,80elderly patients diagnosed with acute cerebral infarction in.Tianjin Huan Hu Hospital were randomly assigned to treatment group (40cases) and control group (40cases). Patients in treatment group received rt-PA at0.9mg/kg dosage,10%of total dose was injected intravenously and the remaining was dripped intravenously within the following60min. Cranial CT was performed to determine the status of bleeding in patients24h later.. The scores of European Stroke Scale (ESS) and Barthel Index (BI) before treatment and after treatment at1,3,7,30and90days were compared. Results:The neurological function of patients was significantly increased in both two groups after treatment. The scores on the ESS were significantly increased in both two groups after treatment at3,7,30and90days (P<0.05); After treatment, ESS scores in the treatment group showed a more obvious increase compared to the control group (P<0.05). Barthel index significantly increased in both two groups after treatment (P<0.05). There was no significant statistical difference in two groups after treatment for1day. But Barthel index showed a significant increase after treatment for3,7,30and90days in the treatment group compared to the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Treatment of elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction using rt-PA can significantly improve the neurological deficits and improve activities of daily living. |
