| Objective:To observe the expression of P53and PTEN in epithelial ovarian cancers and normal ovary tissues, and to expound the potential relationship between the expression of P53,PTEN and clinicopathologic factors such as age, gender, smoking history, incipient or recurrent, tumor stage and histologic grade of epithelial ovarian cancers and normal ovary tissues. To discuss the correlation between the expression of P53,PTEN in epithelial ovarian cancers.Method:We collected68cases of epithelial ovarian cancers and25cases of n normal ovary tissues which were all confrmed by pathology specimens in June2005-June2013. epithelial ovarian cancer patients’average age is52with a range of36-78years. The result were observed by light microscope, and buffy particles in cells were considered as positive cases. The expression of P53,PTEN in11normal ovary tissues and68epithelial ovarian cancer tissue were detected using immunohisto chemical study, and correlated with tumor stage, histologic grade, and patients’age, gender, smoking history. Data were performed with SPSS17.0software. Chi-square test and Pearson rank correlation were used. Data were considered statistically significant when p values were less than0.05.Results:In68cases of epithelial ovarian cancers,45patients showed positive expression of P53, the positive rate was66.18%; I the11cases of normal ovary tissues the expression were2cases, the positive rate was18.18%. Two groups were compared. The difference of epithelial ovarian cancers group and normal ovary tissues group was statistically significant(P<0.01). In68cases of epithelial ovarian cancers,23patients showed positive expression of PTEN, the positive rate was33.82%; In the11cases of normal ovary tissues, the expression were10cases, the positive rate was18.18%. Two groups were compared. The difference of epithelial ovarian cancers group and normal ovary tissues group was statistically significant(P<0.01). Expression of P53was not correlated with expression of PTEN(P>0.05)Conelusion:1. The expression of P53in epithelial ovarian cancers was significantly higher than in normal ovary tissues,The expression of PTEN in epithelial ovarian cancers was significantly lower than in normal ovarian tissue, which reveals that P53,PTENmay play an important role in the occurrence and progression of epithelial ovarian cancers.2. The expression of p53,PTEN in epithelial ovarian cancers was positively correlated with tumor clinical stage, pathological grade; Compared with incipient cases, there was a higher positive rate of the th two proteins in the recurrent cases. To detect the expression of P53,PTEN contributes to diagnosis and prognosis of epithelial ovarian cancers.3. The expression of P53,PTEN become a new target for targeted therapy of epithelial ovarian cancers.4.The combined detection of P53,PTEN proteins can be used to evaluate the incidence of epithelial ovarian cancers development, prognosis, and provide an important basis for drug treatment. |
