Objective To study the effect of sensation disorders on cartilage diseases of knee.Methods20WISTAR rats were randomly divided into two groups:6weeks group and10weeks group. Each group has ten rats(n=10).Take the right knee of the two groups’rats as the model group (with sensation disorders),and the left as the normal controls. As for the model group, cut off the anterior root of spinal nerve of L3and L4that take in charge of the quadriceps femoris of the knee from the right side of the spine, make sure that the posterior roor of the spinal nerve is undamaged. The normal control group just take the sham-operation,which means we just cut off the skin and the subcutaneous tissue while the spinal never is in good condition.Take an observation of the functional recovery of the model group and give the rats some exercises after they get functional recovery of their knee.Kill the rats after six and ten weeks later since the operation.Taking the cartilaginous tissue of the knee, and obvering the morphological feature of the cartilaginous tissue under microscope by hematoxylin-eosin staining, and making a comparison between the two groups. The expression of IL-1βand OPN in the cartilaginous tissue were determined by immunohistochemical method. Results The rats get the functional recovery of their knee after two weeks of the operation. Hematoxylin-eosin staining shows the morphological feature of the cartilaginous tissue of the normal control group, that is the surface of the cartilaginous tissue is smooth, the other components are mainly normal. However, the surface of the cartilaginous tissue of the model group is rugged, and irregular fracture and conglomerate islet-like cell cluster can be seen, the size of the cartilage cell is small, which is obvious compared with the normal control groups. As time goes by,this kind of diversity becoms lager. The expressions of IL-1βand OPN in model group were significantly greater than those in normal control group(t=36.23-77.35, P<0.01).Conclusion Cartilage diseases can be caused by sensation disorders。...
