ObjectiveTo retrospectively analyze the clinical efficacy of Superselective arterial embolization in treatment of pelvic fracture accompany pseudoaneurysm.MethodsEighty cases of closed pelvic fracture with hemodynamic instability admitted by the emergency department of our hospital from December2008to April2013were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were pretreated with anti-shock blood and liquid infusion, and received Interventional therapy (32cases) or non-interventional treatment (48cases) according to type of injury and hemodynamic status. Volume of liquid (blood) infusion, time to restore hemodynamic stability, and average hospitalization time, and cost and mortality were compared between the two groups. ResultsCompared to non-intervention group, the artery embolization group has significantly shorter average hospitalization time and lower cost, smaller amount of liquid (blood) infusion, and takes significantly less time to restore hemodynamic stability. Mortality of the arterial embolization group was2/32, while it was16/48for the non-intervention group.ConclusionsSuperselective arterial embolization is of great application value in treatment of pelvic fracture accompany pseudoaneurysm in comparison with non-intervention treatment, the effectiveness has been confirmed.
