Objective:To investigate the effect of sevoflurone on the expression of synaptotagmin I in the hippocampus and relation with the cognition function of healthy rats.Methods:24SD male rats weighting300~350g were randomly divided into3groups(n=16):1.5%sev group;3.0%sev group and con group. Each group of rats were anesthetized2hours by1.5%sevoflurone(1.5%sev group),3.0%sevoflurone(3.0%sev group)or analogically anesthetized2hours by air(Con group). Y-maze was used to testthe ability of learning and memory half of each group of rats after24h. The expression of synaptotagmin I in the hippocampus of rats were tested by immunohistochemical. And we analyzed the relationship between the learning andmemory’s test results and the expression level of synaptotagmin I.Results:The numbers of study in con group are2294.4±40.8s, and the times are33.6±4.1,the AOD of Hippocanmpus is0.24798378±0.005.The numbers of study in1.5%sev group are2373.1±12.9s, and the times are34.6±3.5, the AOD of Hippocanmpus is0.23861412±0.002.The numbers of study in3.0%sev group are2928.8±60.9s, and the times are41.9±5.7, the AOD of Hippocanmpus is0.20617567±0.001.The numbers and times of study in3.0%sev group were increased compaired with that in the con group.after the rats be anesthetized24h(P<0.05). And the synaptotagmin I levels in hippocampus of3.0%sev group were increased compaired with that in the con group too.1.5%sev group con compared with con group cognitive function has no obvious change, synaptotagmin I express the differences of no statistical significance(P>0.05). Conclusion:The ability of learning and memory of rats treated bysevoflurone were reduced in a short time.synaptotagmin I exepression levels declined may contribute to these phenomenons.
