Objective:(1) A primary school in guangzhou as an example, to analyse of theoccurrence status of the children with ADHD;(2) to explore related risk factors whichinfluence the prevalence of children with ADHD;(3) to study event-related potentials(ERP) of children with ADHD. At the end, according to the result of this studyprovide scientific basis to prevention attention deficit hyperactivity disorder forchildren in early years.Methods:(1)The occurrence status of the children with ADHD: randomly selected603students in one primary school in Guangzhou. The parents filling out the Connersquestionnaire and the SNAP-IV questionnaire. If the result were positive, weinformed the students to the hospital to confirm. The gold standard of ADHD wereDiagnostic and Statistical Mental of Disorders (DSM-IV).(2) Risk factors of ADHD:selecting139children with ADHD in Adolescent psychiatrist clinic LiWan Hospitalof Guangzhou Medical University and Guangzhou Children Hospital in2012, andmatch139controls with age, sex and grade from one Primary school students withoutADHD. All the children’s parents have to fill out the homemade questionnaire《children’s health questionnaire》. Data was entering by using a double entry, statistical analysis of variables using single factor analysis first, the single factoranalysis statistically significant variables were analyse by conditional logisticmulti-factor analysis.(3) Event related potential P300research of children withADHD: In the case of parents informed consent, we chose18pair children from139pair children to test the event related potential P300. Data was entering by using adouble entry, Statistical analysis of variables using chi-square and matching t test.Result:(1) Children with ADHD:26students in603students were diagnosed ADHD.The prevalence of children with ADHD was4.3%. Age range in6~11years old, average age8.85±1.49years old. Man19(6%), female7(2.4%), man to female was2.7:1. ADHD children aged between6and11years, the number of children withADHD respectively2(3.7%),3(2.9%),5(5.6%),7(6.7%),5(4.9%),4(3.7%)in each year.(2) Single factor analysis of statistically significant variables includingChildren height, Whether to drink milk before sleep, Contact dermatitis, Nature of theschool, Who take care of the children, Parenting for children, Homeaddress(city/rural), Whether often address move, Father’s factors smoking when hiswife pregnant, drinking, impulse/inattention, character, Mother’s factors about moodduring pregnancy, abortion history, amniotic fluid, medical disease, all those factorswere analyzed by conditional logistic regression analysis, the result showed thatheight (P=0.001, OR=0.93,95%CI:0.89~0.97), children were not directly to be takencare of by their parents (P=0.035, OR=3.91,95%CI:1.10~13.90), beat and scold thechildren dote on ignoring the discipline of the way (P=0.012, OR=18.15,95%CI:1.90~173.74), father smoking when his wife pregnant (P=0.019, OR=0.26,95%CI:0.09~0.80), mother’s irritable character (P=0.040, OR=3.61,95%CI:1.06~12.25),mother’s pregnancy emotional instability (P=0.051, OR=3.74,95%CI:0.99~14.02)were significant.(3)Event related potential P300research of children with ADHD:Target stimulus counting accuracy difference was significant after chi-square.Conclusion:(1) A primary school in Guangzhou as an example, the prevalence ofchildren with ADHD in Guangzhou was4.3%,male prevalence rate is higher than thegirls, and age are mainly distributed in8~10years old. The prevalence of childrenwith ADHD still high, we should put more attention to ADHD and take measure toprevent and control ADHD in children.(2) The height of ADHD children is shorterthan normal children, children with ADHD is not directly by the child’s parents to takecare of, beat and scold the children dote on ignoring the discipline of the way, motherirritable character and mother’s pregnancy emotional instability were the risk factorfor childhood ADHD morbidity.(3) The event related potential P300latency,amplitude, wave area of ADHD children were no significant difference with normalchildren, the result of ERP used in the diagnosis of ADHD children still need to befurther research.
