Objective: To investigate the survival of post-operative colorectalcancer patients and the effect of Kiss1on prognosis of patients withdifferent clinical pathological characteristics. Methods: This article retrospectively analyzed clinical and pathologicaldata of121colorectal cancer patients who underwent operation in theFirst Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University from January toAugust in2008, used outpatient review and telephone follow-up, madesurvival curves with Kaplan-Meier method, compared the survival rate withlog-Rank method and used Cox proportional hazard regression model forsurvival analysis. Results: We obtained complete follow-up data of103cases, the follow-upsuccess rate was85.1%, the average time of follow-up was61(5-68) monthsand50patients died,53patients survived. Survival rates of1year,3year,5year were:86.4%,67%,51.5%.1, The survival rate of positive Kiss1expression patients with colorectalcancer is higher than that of the negative Kiss1expression colorectalcancer patients, the difference has statistical significance in survivalrate.2,Survival analysis result of different expression of Kiss1in thedifferent clinical and pathological characteristics showed: in patientswho are male, over60years old, the left half colon, the right half colon, high differentiation, protrude type, ulcerative type, T3+T4, with orwithout lymphatic and vascular cancer embolus, no necrosis, no nerveinvasion, with lymph node metastasis, the survival rate of positive Kiss1expression patients is higher than that of the negative Kiss1expression patients, the difference has statistical significance in survival rate;in patients who are female, under60years old, rectum, lowdifferentiation, infiltrative type, T1+T2, with necrosis and nerveinvasion, without lymph node metastasis, with or without distant organmetastasis, its difference of survival rate has no statisticalsignificance.3,And the difference of survival rate of positive Kiss1expressionpatients who are in the left, the right half colon, protrude type, ulcerative type, with or without lymphatic and vascular invasion has nostatistical significance.4,Multi-factor survival analysis result of different expression of Kiss1in different clinical and pathological characteristics showed: thedifference of survival rate in protrude type and ulcerative type hasstatistical significance.Conclusion:1. The survival rate of positive Kiss1expression patients is higher thanthat of negative Kiss1expression patients, suggesting that Kiss1genemay be an index for evaluating prognosis in colorectal cancer patients.2. We speculate that the impact of positive Kiss1expression on prognosisof patients with poor clinical and pathological characteristics is moreobvious.3. In combination with Multi-factor survival analysis result ofdifferent expression of Kiss1in different clinical and pathologicalcharacteristics, suggesting that in protrude type and ulcerative typeKiss1expression has the most obvious impact on prognosis.
