Objective:To investigate the change of Th17and CD4+CD25+Foxp3+regulatory Tcells(Treg) and related cytokines in patients with viral myocarditis(VCM).Methods:62VCM patients were divided into three groups including34VMC patients inacute phase,15patients in recovering phase,13patients in chronic phase, and30individuals were selected as healthy control. The percentage of Th17/CD4+T cell inthe peripheral blood from patients and controls were detected by flow cytometry. Theplasma level IL-17, TGF-β and anti-heart antibodies (AHA) were detected byELISA in all specimens. Results:The positive rate of AHA was61.3%in VMC patients, which were much higherthan control group(6.7%),(P<0.01). The ratios of Th17, Treg cells and relatedcytokines IL-17, TGF-β were increased significantly on acute, persistent andchronic cases, when compared with normal control and recovering cases(P<0.05).Conclusion:The ratios of Th17and Treg cells are increased significantly on acute, persistent and chronic VMC cases. This may indicate that the imbalance of Th17/Treg cells may be one important reason for the occurrence and development of viralmyocarditis.
