Objective:To investigate the expression of cell division cycle gene14A (CDC14A) intissues of hepatocellular carcinoma. To study the cell division cycle gene14a (the celldivision cycle gene14A, CDC14A) expression level in hepatocellular carcinoma andthe correlation between chinical pathological characteristics of hepatocellularcarcinoma. Methods:The experimental group consisted of70cases of hepatocellular carcinomatissues.Meanwhile,70cases of tumor-adjacent tissues were treated as the controlgroup. And we used the Real-time quantitative PCR andimmunohistochemistry to detect the expression of CDC14A in hepatocellularcarcinoma tissues and tumor-adjacent tissues. Then we analysised whether theexpression level of CDC14A was correlated with tumor size, number, Venousinvasion, direct liver invasion, the integrity of tumor encapsulation, hepatitis Bsurface antigen, Cellular differentiation.Results:RTQ-PCR results showed that:CDC14A mRNA in hepatocellular carcinomatissues was higher than in tumor-adjacent tissues.CDC14A mRNA in hepatocellularcarcinoma with direct liver invasion was higher than that in hepatocellular carcinomawithout direct liver invasion. CDC14A mRNA in hepatocellular carcinoma withouttumor encapsulation was higher than that in hepatocellular carcinoma with tumorencapsulation. The difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).Immunohistochemical results showed that:70cases of hepatocellular carcinomatissues,CDC14A-positive expression in38cases. No case of adjacent normal tissuehave CDC14A-positive expression,The difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).CDC14A-positive rate in the group with direct liver invasion (75%) washigher than that with no direct liver invasion(48.14%),and the rate in the groupwithout tumor encapsulation (56.25%) was higher than that with tumor encapsulation(36.84%).The difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).ButCDC14A-positive rate was not correlated with tumor size, number, Venous invasion, hepatitis B surface antigen, Cellular differentiation.Conclusion:CDC14A was over-expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma.CDC14A expressionlevels was closely correlated with direct liver invasion and encapsulation formation.
