Objective:To investigate the effect of hospitalized patients with chronic heart failure andsubclinical hypothyroidism on cardiac function and blood lipids.Methods:175patients hospitalized in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang Universityfor chronic heart failure from October1st,2013to January31st,2014were enrolled in.Basing on thyroid function levels, the cases were divided into two groups, theexperimental group and control group, subclinical hypothyroidism group (83cases)as the experimental group, normal thyroid function group (92cases) as the controlgroup, the experimental group was further divided into group A of69cases(TSH:4.5-9.9mIU/L) and group B of14cases(TSH≥10mIU/L) according to TSHlevels of cases. TSH, FT3, FT4, triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL-C, HDL-C,NT-proBNP, cardiac ultrasound were all measured. The data was analyzed withSPSS17.0.Results:E/E'in subclinical hypothyroidism group was significantly higher than that ofthyroid function normal group (P<0.05); left ventricular ejection fraction insubclinical hypothyroidism group was significantly higher than that of thyroidfunction normal group(P <0.05); No significant difference was observed intriglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL-C and HDL-C levels between the experimentalgroup A and control group (P>0.05), but there was significant difference in LDL-Clevels between the experimental subgroup B and control group(P <0.05);there wassignificant difference in E/E'and LVEF levels between each experimental subgroupand control group(P <0.05).Conclusion:Subclinical hypothyroidism may affect the metabolism of lipids. Subclinicalhypothyroidism may worsen systolic and diastolic function in patients with chronicheart failure.
