Expression And Significance Of VEGF-C And COX-2between Tibetan And Han Nationality With Breast Carcinoma In Qinghai Region

Objective： To investigate the expression of vascular endothelial growthfactor(VEGF—C) and cyclo—oxygenase—2(COX一2) in breast cancer tissues inTibetan and Han in Qinghai and its correlation with clinical-pathology features,andanalysis their difference in breast cancer tissues between Tibetan and Han.Methods：We collected and assembled into a tissue microarry80cases of breastcancer samples in Tibetan and Han respectively.Comprehensive data from the patientswas also collected.We used immunohistochemistry to detect the expression ofVEGF-C and COX-2in the tissue microarray.Analysis the relationship betweenexpression of VEGF-C and COX-2and the relationship of VEGF-C and COX-2expression with clinical-pathology features in Tibetan and Hanrespectively.Finally,analysis the relationship of VEGF-C and COX-2expressionbetween Tibetan and Han.Results：Both Tibetan and Han,VEGF-C and COX-2were highly expressed in breastcancer tissues.In80Han nationality breast cancer tissues,the expression rate ofVEGF-C and COX-2were51.3%and52.5%,respectively.There was a positivecorrelation between VEGF-C expression and COX-2expression(r=0.374,P<0.05).Theexpression of VEGF-C and COX-2were positively correlated with clinical stage andthe presence of lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).In80Tibetan nationality breastcancer tissues,the expression rate of VEGF-C and COX-2were70.0%and65.0%,respectively.There was a positive correlation between VEGF-C expression andCOX-2expression(r=0.206,P<0.05).The expression of VEGF-C and COX-2werepositively correlated with clinical stage and the presence of lymph nodemetastasis(P<0.05). The expression of VEGF-C and COX-2in Tibetan was obviouslyhigh than Han(P<0.05).Conclusion：The breast cancer tissues of Han and Tibetan, Both VEGF—C and COX—2were highly expressed and there was a positive correlation betweenVEGF-C expression and COX-2expression.showed direct correlation.So,toexaminate the expression of their expression can be used to therapying and examinateprognosis for the patients of breast cancer. The expression of VEGF-C and COX-2inTibetan was obviously high than Han,it can became the hot spot in therapying thebreast cancer.
