| Objective To evaluate the difference of efficacy and safety between cryoballoonablation(CBA)and irrigated radiofrequency ablation(IRA)in the treatment of atrialfibrillation. Methods Identify the clinical studies comparing CBA and IRA in the treatment ofatrial fibrillation, then extract the research data of procedure time, fluoroscopic time, success rate, recurrence rate and major complications. The Meta-analysis is performedwith STATA12.0software.Results In total,12studies were included,including1052patients. The results ofMeta-analysis as follow: in the treatment of atrial fibrillation, CBA group comparedwith IRA group, procedure time is shortened [P<0.001, WMD=19.68,95%CI (-26.73,-12.62)], pulmonary vein isolation failure rate increased [P=0.008, RR=4.90,95%CI(1.52,15.81)], the incidence rate of reversible phrenic nerve palsy (PNP) increased[P<0.001, RR=5.48,95%CI (2.17,13.86)].There was no statistically significant in theincidence rate of other major complications and recurrence rate difference betweenthe two groups(all P>0.05).Conclusions Cryoballoon ablation is an effective and safe operation way of theablation of atrial fibrillation, but still needs further improvement and development. |
