Objective: To evaluate the value of combining DWI and PWI sequences ininfarctions at different period.2. To investigate ADC values in infarctions at differentperiod and variation of ADC values of infarctions in different parts.3To investigatechanges of FA values of infarctions at different periods and its impact on Whitematter fiber tracts.Methods: Collected63patients with cerebral infarctions from november,2012tomarch,2014, including35males and28females. Their ages are from30to88, meanage was61.3. Including8cases of hyperacute period within six hours,12cases ofacute period in6to72hours, and25cases of subacute period in3to10days, and18cases of chronic period over10days. All patients were examed conventional T2WI,T1flair, T2flair, DWI, PWI and DTI sequences. Measured ADC and FA values ofboth affected and unaffected sides and ADC values of the center and edge of theinfarctions in hyperacute and acute period. Two experienced radiologists interpretedthe matching of DWI and PWI images and the damage of white matter fiber tracts inDTT images.Results: In this research, there were16cases which PWI are bigger than DWI,44cases which PWI are approximately equal to DWI, and3cases which PWI are smallerthan DWI. The ADC values of hyperacute and acute infarctions were significantlylower than the unaffected sides; the ADC values from hyperacute to chronic periodwere gradually increased, some ADC values of subacute period were approximatelyequal to the unaffected sides; the ADC values of chronic period were significantlyhigher than the unaffected sides. The ADC values of the center were lower than theedge in hyperacute and acute period. The FA values were lower than the unaffectedsides except hyperacute period. The FA values were significantly decreased in chronicperiod. DTT images can show the white matter fiber tracts clearly. Among them, therewere13cases which has no significant change to the unaffected sides,17cases showsreducing and rarefaction of white matter fiber tracts,33cases shows defect andinterruption of white matter fiber tracts.Conclusion:1.By combining PWI with DWI, we can find the existence of theischemic penumbra, and guide clinical treatment.2.The ADC values of affected sideswere gradually increased from hyperacute to chronic period, and the values ofaffected sides were higher than unaffected sides in chronic period. The ADC values ofcenter were lower than the edge in hyperacute and acute period.3.The FA values andDTT images can reflect the damage of white matter fiber tracts.
