Objective:To study the expression of TNF–a and IL-1β in the coxa synovial membrane ofPerthes disease, And analyze the correlation between TNF-a and IL-1β in Perthesdisease, Preliminary discussion TNF-a and IL-1β in Perthes disease occurrence anddevelopment of the role in the process. Methods:Immunohistochemistry and image analysis were employed to detect theexpression of Tumor Necrosis Factor-a and Interleukin-1β in the coxa synovialmembrane of55specimens of the Perthes disease group and20specimens of thecontrol group. There were4specimens from hip disarticulation and16specimensfrom hip fracture specimens in the control group. Results:The positive rate of TNF–a and IL-1βin Perthes disease coxa synovial membranewere significante higher than that in the control group, had statisticalsignificance(TNF-a(χ2=47.46, p<0.005),IL-1β(χ2=38.64, p<0.005));And we findthat at the different catterall stages, the expression of TNF–a and IL-1βwas alsodifferent, the expressions of Ⅱ stages are strongly positive, the expressions of Ⅲstages are mainly positive,in the Ⅳ stage, the expression is mainly weakly positive.the difference was significant (TNF-a(χ2=76.09, p<0.005),IL-1β(χ2=77.90, p<0.005)); the coefficient correlation of Tumor Necrosis Factor-a to theInterleukin-1βexpresse in Perthes disease was0.382(P=0.004),positive.Conclusions:Tumor Necrosis Factor-a and Interleukin-1β might have a hand in the growth and development of the pathogenesis of Perthes disease....
