Objective:To investigate the Expression and significance of AP-1,PDCD4and p3in blepharal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC)and basal cell carcinoma(BCC) and to analyse the relationship of these alterations with the occurrence and progress of BCC and SCC. By studying the correlation of AP-1,PDCD4and p73with SCC and BCC, to provide reference frame for the diagnosis and treatment. Methods:To detect the expression of AP-1,PDCD4and p73protein in68cases of blepharal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and40cases of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and20cases of normal blepharal tissues with Immunohistochemical methods and compare the expression differences in these three tissues and in different pathological stage. Observe the interaction of expressions of AP-1, PDCD4and p73protein in SCC, BCC and normal tissues with gender, age, clinical stage, pathological stage.Results1The positive rate of AP-1expression in sec and bec was higher than the normal blepharal tissue. There was significant differences between the AP-1’s positive rates in SCC, BCC and normal tissue (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between the SCCand BCC (P>0.05) AP-1’s positive rates has no significant differences between the age, gender in SCC and BCC patients (P>0.05) but the positive rates was statistically significant in different pathological stage (P<0.05)2PDCD4expresses high in the normal blepharal tissue while has a low level in SCC and BCC, there was statistically significant (P<0.05); but there was no statistically significant in SCC andBCC (P>0.05) PDCD4’s positive rates has no significant differences between the age, gender in SCC and BCC patients but the positive rates was statistically significant in different pathological stages of sec (P<0.05)3p73protein is expressed highly in the basal cell and the level of p73is degressing as the cell’s keratinization, p73is expressed highly in BCC while lowly in SCC, there is statistically significant (P<0.05). p73’s positive rates has no significant differences between the age, gender in SCC and BCC patients, the positive rates was statistically significant in different pathological stages of SCC (P<0.05)4The expression of AP-1and PDCD4has a negative interaction in SCC and the relative coefficient is-0.401(r=-0.401,P<0.05).Conclusion:1The positive rate of AP-1is higher in SCC and BCC than the normal eyelid tissues, the positive rates was statistically significant in different clinical stage and pathological stages of SCC (P<0.05),show AP-1protein is closely tied to the progress of SCC.2The positive rate of PDCD4is lower in SCC and BCC than the normal eyelid tissues, show PDCD4protein may has a negative affection with the progress of SCC and BCC, PDCD4may inhibit the progress of eyelid cancer to some extent.3p73protein is expressed highly in the basal cell and the level of p73is degress as the cell’s keratinization, p73is expressed highly in BCC while lowly in SCC, it is may show that p73is correlates with the keratinization of cell.4The expression of AP-1and PDCD4protein has a negative interaction in SCC, it may show some correlation between AP-1and PDCD4in the progress of SCC.
