Death,birth and migration are a demographic study of the three basic content.Thechanges in mortality patterns directly affect the health of the population, mortality is animportant part of mortality patterns, in the process of change in the level of death,play a rolein the cause of death、the composition of the disease and national health service, the combinedeffects enormous impact on the level of population health.Through a comprehensive analys ofdeath,contact the health of the population demands,to explore ways to reduce deaths,reducedisease,impore the health of the population.Different periods together in this article, analysis of death level and the cause of deathposed by changes in,and compare the mortality and cause of death constitute the movementsconducted sex, sub-urban and rural areas and sub-age comparison of the same period,comprehensive presentation of the trends of mortality patterns in China, in order to test thenational health resources,efforts to identify the potential for health services,the purpose is torespond to changes in population mortality patterns.1949years ago,nearly30years,China’s crude death rate between25‰in35‰,but theresults of several investigations are very different. Due to the prevailing conditions, thequality of these data is not very high. After the founding of new China, the mortality declinesrapid, rapid decline from17‰in1952to6.21‰in1979, since been floating up and down atthis level.After1980, the mortality rate has been at a low level,1980and2000are6.33‰. Asthe aging of the population age structure, a small rise in2009as7.08‰.In the past nearly100years, the cause of death constitute of China changed enormously,chronic disease slowly replace the position of the infectious diseases, Before the founding ofnew China, city leading causes of death are tuberculosis, respiratory diseases, digestivediseases, the leading causes of death in rural areas are smallpox, cholera.After1980, the maincause of death of China’s population are malignant tumors, circulatory system diseases(cerebrovascular disease and heart disease), respiratory disease, digestive disease, injury andpoisoning.
