The unique light-heat and water-soil conditions of Xinjiang are very suitable for processing tomato to grow, and the processing tomato in Xinjiang have good quality, high yield, rich nutrition and the unexampled advantage than other tomato producing areas. In the past decades, through the introduction from aboard and research and development independent, mechanized harvesting has become an important means for the processing of processing tomato in Xinjiang. Fruit-seedling separation device is the core components of processing tomato harvester, whose vibration generator is easy to plug, and damage fruit frequently, its movement is often affected by changing load, the generator affect the performance of processing tomato harvester seriously.Starting from the existing fruit-seedling separation device, the movement and torque etc. requirement of separation drum was obtained, the non-circular gear vibration generator was designed and manufactured to test, the result shows that the generator could satisfy the requirement. The research provided basis to optimize and improve the processing tomato harvester. The main research contents and conclusions were as follows:(1) The working speed of 4FZ-35 processing tomato harvester and the yield of Liger 87-5 were determined, then the feed quantity of fruit-seedling separation device was confirmed as 9.33~14.14 kg/s; the optimal factors combination tested as the vibration generator speed for 35 t/h, pure hour productivity for 400 r/min, feeding conveyor chain speed for 0.8 m/s; under the optimal factors combination and the system of high speed imaging and rotational speed torque measurement, the drum’s parameters was obtained as the swing period for 0.180 s, the max torque for 5.2 N?m, the fitting function of input and output angular displacement was obtained.(2) With the transmission ratio analysis of W-W type non-circular gear planetary gear train, the overall scheme of vibration generator was determined; on the basis of the fitting function in(1) and the continuous and differentiable characteristics of non-circular gear’s pitch curve, the fitting curve was modified, and the pitch curve of non-circular gears was obtained, the closure and convexity of the non-circular gear pitch curves was verification; the gear tooth profiles of non-circular gear was designed in tooth profile normal method; the specific structure of non-circular gear vibration generator was designed.(3) The 3D model of non-circular gear vibration generator was established in Solid Works, and simulation analyzed in ADAMS; the kinematic and dynamic analysis of non-circular gear vibration generator was compared to verify that the analysis of simulation and requirement was consistent, and strength of components was sufficient; the non-circular gear vibration generator was manufactured to replace the eccentric block type vibration generator in FS-35 test bench to test and analysis combining high speed imagining system, the result shows that the test angular displacement and angular velocity curves matched to the requirement ones, and the reasonability of non-circular gear vibration generator was verified.
