Perinereis aibuhitensis is a high nutritional value of benthic organisms. Although many studies pointed of P. aibuhitensis body colors are red and green phenotypes, but its biological differences in color and the reasons for the difference between the two mechanisms has not yet systematic research reported. Specific expression of biological differences to explore its causes and body color differences between the two kinds of phenotypes and genes to produce the difference of color breeding species in aquaculture and other aspects of great significance. In this paper, our beaches common of two body color P. aibuhitensis as the research object, carried out a comparative study of respiratory metabolism in the metabolic rate of the relevant comparative study of biochemical nutrition-related ingredients and nutritional evaluation studies and comparative transcriptome differences in gene expression. The results of this research indicated that, there were highly remarkable differences in the measured aspects of the P. aibuhitensis of two body colors in the contrast experiment designed to compare from three different aspects. Comparative study on the oxygen consumption rate and ammonia excretion rate of the P. aibuhitensis of two body colors was conducted in the aspect of ecological respiratory metabolism, with temperature being treated as the variable. The data obtained demonstrated that the respiratory metabolism of the red P. aibuhitensis was more vigorous than that of the green P. aibuhitensis; in addition, the red P. aibuhitensis had more sensitive response to environmental changes such as temperature changes than the green P. aibuhitensis. With regard to biochemical component(nutrition-related) aspect, the contents of all biochemical components(protein, fat, total sugar, amino acid, fatty acid, and trace element) were systemically measured. It could be obtained through comparison, analysis and evaluation on the data obtained that the nutritional components in the red P. aibuhitensis were more balanced and abundant than those in the green P. aibuhitensis. Regarding gene molecular expression, this experiment conducted sampling from various sites of the P. aibuhitensis of two colors, and obtained the RNA samples of the body wall group and the whole group; then transcriptome sequencing and differentially expressed genes analysis were performed, the results of which indicated that there was notable difference in the transcriptome gene expression of the P. aibuhitensis of two colors; and the further analysis results of the differentially expressed genes suggested that most of the differentially expressed genes located in the cellular component aspect and the most significant difference was in the molecular functions. It could be preliminarily inferred through thorough analysis and conclusion of the differentially expressed genes in the body wall group that astacin gene and lectin gene were the differentially expressed genes that were distinctly related to the difference in two body colors.
