Greenhouse monitoring system played a very important role in the development of facility agriculture. The current modernization of greenhouse monitoring system is still very low in our country. The traditional monitoring system based on IPC is high-cost and hard to maintain. And traditional system is hard to popularize, because it is lack of applicability and traditional system uses cable to communicate. Based on this, this thesis use wireless sensor networks and Embedded System to design a greenhouse monitoring system based on OSGi gateway. And also make a further study on the data collection method based on Wireless Sensor Networks and the dynamic update strategy of OSGi.At the beginning of the thesis, the industry status of greenhouse monitoring system and the key techniques such as wireless sensor networks and embedded system were summarized and classified. Aim at the special geographical environment of large-scale farms, the thesis design and implement a data transmission method of chain-type wireless sensor networks based on clustering. Use clustering and data fusion to reduce energy consumption and transmission delay. And then the thesis builds a mathematical model on the transmission delay and the transmission consumption of energy. Use MATLAB to emulate the mathematical model, the result shows the mathematical model is consistent with the measured value. And then, on the premise of the certain number of cluster, the thesis provides the clustering scheme based on the optimal energy consumption. And the thesis also provides the range of the length of cluster when the energy consumption is less than a specific value.The gateway makes wireless sensor network and Internet authoring more seamless. The thesis use OSGi framework to design and implement a modular, dynamic gateway system. The function and version are changing all the time in the life cycle of software, OSGi framework provide a good basis for dynamic update. The thesis extends the OSGi framework, adds the strategy of judgment of when to update and states transition. Insert state machine to the module to implement a dynamic update strategy based on the consistence assurance protocol of Tranquility. Test shows compare with the existing methods, the strategy of dynamic update based on Tranquility protocol can better ensure the consistence of running state of module after update.
