Our country is a large agricultural country with a large number of population, with the improvement of people’s living standards, China’s grain demand has been increasing, resulting in the total of food imports surged in successive years, China is becoming a net importer of agricultural products. At the same time, China’s arable land but has been declining, gradually approaching the red line of arable land, per capita arable land has been less than the world average of 40%. Moreover, the rural labor force engaged in farming gradually lost, a large number of farmers into cities to work, resulting in a further reduction in the acreage under cultivation. China’s grain security has faced a quite dangerous situation. Therefore, the increase of grain production and income has become an urgent problem to be solved.In order to realize the increase of greenhouse crops, increase income and improve the quality, this paper designed a greenhouse intelligent control and expert system. The system is capable of complete automation and intelligent greenhouse control, and also provides expert services. It greatly improves the efficiency of planting, liberates labors, while reducing the incidence of pests and diseases, and can do early prevention and treatment.This system collects a variety of environmental factors parameters of the greenhouse by using in-one sensors in the greenhouse and small weather station out of the greenhouse. Parameters are passed via RS485 bus to the ZigBee wireless transmission module and directly connected to the IPC Coordinator ZigBee module by the use of characteristics of the ZigBee transparent transmission protocol; Then the signal transmission to the IPC into our software system developed by LabVIEW. We also design the expert system in the software system, to provide users with reference when the planting and processing method of pest.After data acquisition, the state of the current greenhouse will obtained through analysis and processing. On the one hand, the data show interactive interface, on the other hand, compare the current status of the data with the desired state of the design, we can get the change trend of the current parameters. If the software judged that data will eventually exceed the set value, it will control related equipment by intelligent control system which designed by fuzzy PID algorithm to regulate the environmental parameters of the greenhouse. And it will go on determining whether the parameters are changed according to expectation. If not, the system will adjust the parameters of the PID algorithm automatically, in order to control actuator actions more reasonably to regulate the environmental parameters, realized intelligent control, until the environmental parameters to achieve the desired value.This system has been applied to the actual production, and has achieved good results, achieved the purpose of intelligent control. The whole system works smoothly during the 3 months of the experiment and the yield of cucumber grown in the experimental greenhouse reached the high yield level.
