Dwarfing interstock can make the fruit tree has the characteristics of short canopy, convenient management, suitable for close planting, early results, high yield, good quality and so on. At present, China has established a large area of interstock apple orchard. But after tree planted, the growth potential was significantly different. which was closely related to the different interstock and the length.The experiment was set two treatments with six combinations. The first treatment was different kinds of dwarfing intersocks. We chosen Xinjiang wild apple /M26/ Nagafu No. 2,Xinjiang wild apple /M9/ Nagafu No. 2, Xinjiang wild apple /SH6/ Nagafu No. 2 as material. The second treatment was dwarfing interstock with different length, We chosen Xinjiang wild apple/M9(5cm) / Nagafu No. 2, Xinjiang wild apple /M9(25cm) / Nagafu No. 2, Xinjiang wild apple/M9(45cm) / Nagafu No. 2 as materials. Through the determination of the vegetative growth and reproductive growth, preliminary inquiry the influence establishment of apple tree in different apple dwarfing interstock and length and chosen the most suitable dwarfing interstock and length.in Loess Plateau.The results showed:1.in different dwarfing interstocks, The short branch proportion in M26 interstock is highest,branches have stoped early, and growth in long branch was significantly weaker than SH6 and M9 interstocks; The density of internodes is high and average internode length is short in long branch of M26 interstock, showed that M26 interstock has short internode in long branch,effectively inhibited the growth of long branch;M26 in average leaf area, shutter and dry matter content were higher than M9 and SH6 interstock, showed that M26 interstock is contribute to accumulation of organic matter and has adequate nutrition; The Yield in per plant and unit volume and stem diameter,M26 was much higher than SH6 and M9. Based on the above indicators,interstocks M26 is suitable for planting in the Loess Plateau.2.In different length of dwarfing interstock,When interstock length is 25 cm, had the highest percentage of short branches, the level of the accumulation of nutrients were improved,and the apple trees were moer likely to produce fruit than the other treatments. Dwarfed interstocks length was significantly positively related with dwarf degree of trees and the branches stop growth period;The treatment interstock length which is 25 cm, had the higher average leaf area, and dry matter content, yield per unit dry cross-sectional area and per unit volume than the treatment interstock length which is 5cm and 45 cm,and better organic accumulation effect and adequate nutrients;Interstocks length is too short, the dwarfing effect is not good, resulting inexcessive vegetative growth. Dwarfing interstock length for too long,and the dwarfing effect although significant inhibitory effects on the tree growth is too strong, but economic decline. Based on the above measurement index, the interstock length suitable for the Loess Plateau most is 25 cm.
