Ewenki County is an important part of the prairie of Eurasia locates in the east of Hulun Buir prairie. With the development of economics and improving of population amounts, grazing intensity on prairie is improving. However, under the natural conditions of global warming, the original weak grassland ecosystem could not bear the utilizing of high intensity to result in the heavy results of grassland degradation and desertification.The research utilizes MODIS image with features of high timeliness and high identification based on the sample investigation of Ewenki grassland vegetation respectively to analyze the related relationship of spectrum data, MODIS data and ground biomass data of field measurement. The assessment model based on Ewenki grassland of MODIS image is analyzed to be the best exponential model. The assessment model and MODIS image data during 2000 to 2014 calculate the grass yield data of Ewenki grassland annually among fifteen years to get result revealed as annual average grass yield of 1462kg/hm2 of 2000 to 2014, the highest value of 1634kg/hm2 of 2002 and the lowest value of 1170kg/hm2 of 2007. By building grassland vegetation assessment model to provide related data for balance development of native animal farming and grassland ecosystem.Combining of the rainfall data and air temperature data, it analyzes the grass yield of Ewenki grassland. The results reveal the positive correlation of average rainfall and grass yield, but the negative correlation of average temperature of growing season and grass yield.
