Selection And Adaptation Of Wall Greening Plants In Fuzhou City

As a type of virescence,wall greening means to green the vertical or near-vertical surface of all kinds of buildings. It has the advantages of less occupied area, effectively greening, increase of green quantity and improvement of urban ecological environment. This research chose right plants from Fuzhou according to survival rate and growth when they were planted for wall greening indoor or outdoor. Indoor wall plants were subjected to different light treatments, and the negative evaluation was carried out by observing the plant growth and physiological indexes. The outdoor plants of different temperature treatment, through the observation of the growth of plants and the determination of physiological index, heat resistance evaluation. The main results of the study are as follows:(1) Through the investigation of the wall greening plants in Fuzhou city and the summary of the literature of the vertical greening plants. Preliminary screen out 12 kinds of indoor wall plants and 14 kinds of outdoor plants for a period of 90 days of wall planting experiment. Selected 8 kinds of indoor plants performed better from 12 primaries:Tradescantia zebrina, Dracaena reflexa’Variegata’, Nephrolepis exaltata ’Bostoniensis’, Asplenium nidus, Aglaonema modestum, Draceana arborea, Dracaena deremensis’Virens Compacta’and Ctenanthe setosa. Selected 6 kinds of outdoor plants performed better from 14 primaries:Vinca major var. Variegata, Nephrolepis cordifolia, Dianella ensifolia’Marginata’, Duranta repens’Variegata’, Cordyline fruticosa and Tibouchina seecandra.(2) Analysis on the growth and physiological changes of indoor wall plants. The order of 8 species’shade-tolerance is Draceana arborea> Dracaena deremensis ’Virens Compacta’> Zebrina pendula> Dracaena reflexa’Variegata’> Ctenanthe setosa> Aglaonema modestum> Asplenium nidus> Nephrolepis exaltata ’Bostoniensis’.(3) Analysis on the growth and physiological changes of outdoor wall plants. The order of 6 species’heat-resistance is Duranta repens’Variegata’> Cordyline fruticosa> Vinca major var. Variegata> Nephrolepis cordifolia> Dianella ensifolia’Marginata’> Tibouchina seecandra. At the temperature of 45 ℃, outdoor wall plants all died, so this temperature is not suitable for experimental materials’ growth.
