Since ancient times, plants have been serving the human which supply human food, clothing, building materials, as well as countless other goods. With the emergence of modern industrial cities, more and more people begin to pay attention to the green infrastructure. In the process of improving human living environment and physical and mental health, urban greening has gradually confronted designers and urban residents. However, cultivated land resources of city are limited and are effected by the constraints of the environment and pollution problems, some places do not have the planting conditions, it is regarded as the key initiatives that how to efficiently using plant in the process of urban greening. Through the integration, the green wall and the Roof garden as a symbol of the vertical green gives people a new way of thinking. Vertical greening has the characteristics like low ratio of covering an area, high afforest rate, low cost, easily managing and soon which can effectively improve air quality and urban micro climate, reduce heat radiation damage to the buildings in the city and reduce noise and many other benefits. But in our country, especially in the north, the vertical greening is not effective at present, even people are very strange to this concept. Therefore, it is significant to study the vertical greening plants and landscape in the construction of urban ecological environment.This paper, on the basis of vertical greening and method of literature and theory study, in Shenyang City as an example, through a combination of field research and reference, take an investigation of Shenyang City existing 4 vertical greening forms, including wall, fence type, scaffolding and windowsill, balcony type. According to the characteristics of the vertical greening plants and the use of the status quo, the selection of 14 kinds of Shenyang planting vertical greening plants were evaluated. First the evaluation factors were screened using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to build a comprehensive evaluation system for vertical greening landscape; then through the expert evaluation method to calculate the weight of each index, and then the comprehensive weight of vertical greening plant landscape, and the vertical greening plant landscape evaluation model was calculated. On base of model, it is collated that expert on 14 plant species index scoring data and it is obtained throng using the formula to calculate the comprehensive score mij of vertical greening landscape. The results showed that the creeper (1.116247) and Parthenocissus quinquefolia 1.065486 and Celastrus orbiculatus 0.937907 in the top three of comprehensive score row, which is more suitable to be used as the choice of Shenyang vertical greening plants; and bean and beads (-1.64926)-1.64926 and Schisandra-0.64956 three plants scored lowest, not suitable for the Shenyang vertical greening plants. On the basis of this, this paper adopts the method of cluster analysis to verify the above results, and the results are consistent with the conclusion of the comprehensive score of the AHP analytic hierarchy process.Based on the AHP model, according to the mathematical formula to make the abstract plants be concrete and digital. The scores obtained from the interaction of multiple factors, select the appropriate vertical greening plant material with reference to the significant external factors. In order to ensure the construction of a suitable for the needs of various factors and has its own characteristics of the vertical greening plant landscape.
