Bacillus is one of the earliest bacteria found by humans, it is a common plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria(PGPR) which is researched and applied very broad in biological pesticide field. In the biological characteristics, Bacillus subtilis has the typical characteristics of bacillus, it is a typical aerobic bacteria. Its cells present as a straight rod, size(0.8-1.2)μmx(1.5-4.0)μm, single, color uniformity, capsule producible and movable. On the other hand, Bacillus subtilis has a certain promoting effect on the growth of crops. Therefore, Bacillus subtilis can be as a kind of environment-friendly biological fertilizer application in agricultural production.In order to gain a better understanding of Bacillus subtilis on the effects of plant growth and develop more new type of microbial agents which can promote plant growth, improve the quality of agricultural products and increase crop yield, we have chosen Bacillus subtilis SYST2 as the bacterial strain to the field experiment on some crops in many provinces in China. Investigation and statistics is necessary in some main periods of crop growth, the results can reflect the Bacillus subtilis SYST2 impact on the growth of crops.In this paper, the field experiment crops include rice, wheat, corn, peanuts, potatoes, naked oats, cole, sunflower, clover, etc. The experiment was in Jiangsu, Anhui, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang and other places. The results of the survey show that Bacillus subtilis SYST2 has very actively effect on a variety of crops. It can increase the height, root length, fruit plumpness, grain and production of crops.The winter wheat experiment in Nanjing, Jiangsu province shows that Bacillus subtilis SYST2 can increase the number of leaf in the seedling stage and the plant height in jointing stage observably. The TKW (Thousand Kernel Weight) growth rate reached 10.84% and production increased by 35.11%. In addition, the rice experiments in binhuai farm and huanghai farm show that the Bacillus subtilis SYST2 can promote the tiller number, weight and the height of the rice. The rice experiments in jiangpu farm shows that the Bacillus subtilis SYST2 can promote the height, root length and number of grain per ear observably. The TKW (Thousand Kernel Weight) growth rate reached 4.35% and production increased by 7.33%. The results of rice experiments in binhuai farm, baimahu farm and huanghai farm show that the Bacillus subtilis SYST2 can promote the height and weight observably.Furthermore, the results of potato experiment in Inner Mongolia show that the production increased by 10.71%. The results of hulless oat experiment in Inner Mongolia show that the TKW growth rate reached 8.18%. The production increased by 9.76%. The results of cole experiment in Inner Mongolia show that the TKW growth rate reached 1.51% and the Bacillus subtilis SYST2 can increase the number of cole pod. The Bacillus subtilis SYST2 can also promote the number and plumpness of peanut, the height of corn and the growth of clover. Especially, the Bacillus subtilis SYST2 can make the sunflower seeds mature earlier.
