Broccoli{Brassica alracea var. botrytis) is mainly distributed in the southeast coastal area of china. However, abundant rainfall and acidity soil porn to boron deficiency. Boron deficiency is one of the key factors limiting the yield and quality improvement. This paper consists of two parts:(1)Based on the result of varieties sreening test, we selected different boron uiilization efficient cultivars.(2)Boron sensitive cultivar "Fuji-4" and high boron uiilization efficient cultivar "SL-130" as the experimental materials, select two levels of boron (B deficiency,0μmol·L-1; Normal boron level,50 μmol·L-1), study of boron deficiency on the different B sensitive varieties of broccoli. The main results are as follows:1. We selected higher boron utilization efficiency varieties SL-130 and boron sensitive varieties Fusi-4 by varieties sreening test.2. Boron sensitive cultivar Fusi-4, plant height, leaf number, leaf area significantly decreased, net photosynthetic rate, chlorophyll content, utilization rate of solar radiation, water use efficiency, Fv’/Fm’, OPS Ⅱ and ETR decreased significantly, and higher boron utilization efficient cultivars of SL-130 did not change significantly.3. Boron sensitive cultivar Fusi-4, lateral root length increased significantly, root diameter increased slightly, root surface area, root absorbing boron content, soluble sugar content and its cell wall activity higher than higher boron utilization efficiency varieties. The boron efficient cultivar SL-130, boron content, soluble sugar content and its cell wall activity were lower than boron sensitive cultivar.4. Boron sensitive varieties Fusi-4 endogenous protective enzyme CAT, POD, SOD activity was significantly decreased, PPO activity and MDA content increased, boron, vitamin C decreased, membrane permeability increased, the chlorophyll content decreased, decreased dry weight; B, vitamin C showed the same differences, MDA, membrane permeability, dry weight were not significant.5. We detected unnormal blade structure and disorder cell, adjacent cell gap increased.
