The study aimed to supply experimental basis for research of lipidmeatbolism and sceintific application of TOS in poultry production. The study consists of 3 experiments and the results were stated as follows:The first experiment was designed to evaluate the effects of TOS with different levels on growth performance, development of organs in broilers.Four hundred and eighty one-day-old Arbor Acres broilers were chosen and randomly distributed into 8 groups with 6 replicates of 10 chickens each, using 2x4 factorial design:two levels fat (hign fat diet and normal fat diet), including the following groups:NTOA(control group), NTOS1,NTOS2,NTOS3,HTOA,HTOS1,HTOS2,HTOS3(respectively added with 50mg/kg TOA,50mg/kg TOS, 100mg/kgTOS,150mg/kgTOS). The trial consisted of two periods: earlier stage (0-21days) and later stage (22-42days). The results showed that (1) The addition of TOS resulted in significantly higher daily gain and daily feed intake and lower F/G of those normal-fat-diet groups(P<0.05), in earlier stage of high-fat-diet groups, comparing to TOA group, daily feed intake of TOS groups have been significantly increased, while F/G been decreased(P<0.05); (2)In later stage, comparing with TOS2 in normal fat diet, thymus index of TOS3 was significantly higher(P<0.05), and that increased with the supplement of TOS, TOS3 showed the best; (3)The effect on growth performance of TOS was better than that of TOA at the same level. The second experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of TOS with different dose on antioxidant properties and meat quality. and malondialdehyde (MDA) content, superoxide dismutase(SOD) and CAT activity were determined to investigate the antioxidant mechanism. Treatments were the same as the first experinent. The results showed that:addition of TOS can exert significant effect on VE accumulation in liver(P<0.05); Compared with the control group, the MDA of TOS3, GSH-Px of TOS2 and TOS3 (both in high-fat-diet groups)were respectively reduced and increased, suggesting that the addition of TOS may to some extent eliminate the effect of lipid peroxidation. The activity of CAT in high fat diet were literaly higher than those in its corresponding normal fat diet(P<0.05). The red colour of thigh muscle of TOS2 and TOS3 were sinificantly higher than that of TOS1(P<0.05).In the third experiment, the effect of TOS with different dose on lipidmetabolism was studied by testing the accumulation of TC,TG,HDL,LDL,NEFA and kinds of lipidmetabolism enzymes. Treatments were the same as the first experinent. The results showed that:in later stage, increasing the levels of TOS may significantly decreased the TG of normal-fat-diet groups in broiler blood (P<0.05). Data showed that TC of earlier stage in normal-fat-diet groups, TG of later stage in high-fat-diet groups, were decreased with the enhancive dosage of TOS though not significantly (P<0.05). In normal-fat-diet groups, the values of MDH in TOS2 and TOS3 were reduced by the addition of TOS but not significantly with the comparison of TOS 1,and the level of TG decreased with the addition of TOS.The results indicated that addition of high can increase the efficiency of feed, increase average feed intake and average daily gain, meanwhile increase the accumulation of lipid in both blood and issue; With the supplement of TOS, growth performance and development of immune organ thymus were improved, and TOS2 showed the best of the groups; 100 mg/kg dietary TOS supplementation may to the maximum enhance the production and properties of resisting peroxidation, reduce the level of lipid in blood and the accumulation of fat, the effect of TOS is better than that of TOA with the same addition. The effect on growth performance of TOS was better than that of TOA at the same level. TOS can increase the level of VE in both blood and liver, enhancing antioxidant properties of broilers and its product, abolishing meat and its quality; Besides, TOS can to some extent decrease the level of TC and TG, affecting lipidmetabolism by modulating the enzymes, reduce the accumulation of lipid. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | D-α-TOS, DL-α-TOA, AA broiler, growth performance, antioxidant properties, meat quality, lipometabolis | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
