With the domestic pet market developing rapidly, more and more new pets come into home, which have high requirement to the living environment.Due to their physiological structure, you need to use special equipment to create a micro environment for them. For the existing controllers’ function is too simple, the pet environmental control equipment combination is complex and with poor user experience. so we try to analyze and redesign it from the perspective of symbiosis design.Based on the micro pet environmental control products, we try to decomposed it’s relationship into "environment", "products" and "users" three parts, and make "ecological design", "product integration design" and "UCD" as the designing principles of symbiosis.Then based on the three aspects of product, this paper redesigned the existing controller product, including the micro environment controller hardware and APP prototype design. At last we made a preliminary test to detect the state of symbiosis between product prototype and the environment, products, and users.Symbiosis theory was applied to a case study in this paper, and combined with the existing design method, that increased the symbiotic design practical in use of product analysis, function integration and user experience design. As well, the study of micro pet environmental control products and design also has reference significance for the design of similar products.
