With the rapid development of China’s national economy, continues to promote the integration of urban and rural areas, the demand for healthy fresh produce is growing. On the one hand, the production of agricultural products is limited, on the other hand, there is a lot of loss and waste during picking and transportation of agricultural products. How to faster and better transport agricultural products, which is a problem need to be solved in agricultural products processing and transportation. It is not only need capital investment, it also needs introducing mature technology of industrial production reasonably into the production of agricultural science. The paper puts forward the idea that introducing the video surveillance into the car running, the significance of which is to liberate the labor force, so that agricultural production becomes high-efficiency and energy-saving. The dolly’s operation became organized and safe under video surveillance.Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) joins the traditional computer technology and relay control computer technology, and communication technology together, with easy programming, powerful scalability, higher operational reliability, and other significant advantages. It is suitable for long-term continuous operation, ideal for intelligent transport dolly to transport agricultural products. The study designs a transport dolly control system based on PLC and video surveillance, through elaborate description of the closed-loop control system to illustrate the principles and advantages of motor control based on PLC. It can control the motor’s speed, and let the dolly stop accurately and steadily.In this paper, the work done as follows:First, we describe the current research situation at home and abroad about transport dolly, combine with the actual situation of picking and transporting fruits and vegetables, we propose to use the combination of PLC and configuration monitoring technology for fruits and vegetables transporting, and design the control system.Second, in-depth study of the characteristic of non-injury during fresh fruits and vegetables transport, combined with the dolly working environment to design the transport dolly that combine hardware with software reasonably. We use siemens official programming tools STEP7-Mirco/Win SP4 to write the control procedures of fruit and vegetable transport dolly.Third, according to the specialty of agricultural machinery control field, we determine the Siemens S7-200 series CPU224 PLC as the core of the control system in this paper. We mainly consider the issues about speed closed-loop control system and frequency control.Fourth, in order to ensure the safety and efficiency of the work, we especially add the video surveillance alarm, and install the circuit-breaker protection circuit to protect the dolly’s control circuit.Finally, we install and debug the transport dolly control system, through the analysis of the results of performance testing, to improve lots of deficiencies, and put forward the advantages and disadvantages of transport dolly used in the transport of agricultural products.
