Southern China area is one of the main vegetable producing areas in China. In recent years, it has been the main force in the south of our country, and it is also an important vegetable export base.Light is one of the basic elements of the normal growth of vegetables,and it is the source of the energy needed for plant growth.Guangdong, southern China Annual illumination distribution is not uniform, the more overcast and rainy weather in winter and spring, the light is weak, and the average light irradiation time below the average illumination time.Lack of light phenomenon which resulted in the growth of vegetable seedlings is not robust, nutrition growth serious bad, flower and fruit drop, fruit growth slow,pests and diseases increased, yield decreased, quality deterioration.LED lamp with comparable to energy-saving, spectral tonality, good point light source, cold and good moisture resistance advantages, make it very suitable for application in agriculture, and has a very broad application prospects.In this paper, the effects of LED light source on the growth of several Southern China vegetable seedlings were studied. The main research results are as follows:1. The effect of monochromatic light LED on the growth of vegetable seedlingsRed light can effectively promote the vegetable plant height, stem diameter, and leaf morphology built to promote the plant dry matter accumulation, promote the growth of lateral root.Blue light significantly inhibited the plant height, the root elongation, and the root of the seedling.2. Different intensity of red and blue LED light on the seedling growth of vegetablesUsing LED red blue light as the light source, it can effectively promote the formation of the seedlings of cowpea,, bitter gourd, lettuce and pepper, and with the increase of LED red blue light, the morphological index of seedling gradually increased, the chlorophyll synthesis gradually increased, the root activity increased gradually.When the LED red light intensity reached 6000 lx, the morphological index of asparagus, bitter gourd, lettuce and pepper was close to that of natural light, but the accumulation of material was lower than that of natural light, especially for the dry matter accumulation of lettuce and pepper.3.Different LED lamps hanging height of light vegetable seedling growthFor 50 W circular LED lamp, considering light seedling effect and light utilization efficiency, in cowpea, pepper and tomato seedlings, the lights hanging height 70 cm best.Towel gourd, cucumber and eggplant seedling, light hanging height 50 cm.4.Effects of different light quality, different shapes of LED lamp light vegetable seedling growthThe test strip and circular led have different effects of the same vegetables, where cowpea, eggplant, pepper and lettuce the optimum and the proportion of red and blue light have some differences, and the remaining five kinds of vegetables most suitable proportion of red and blue uniform.
